Hello, my name is Sandra Beekmann,
“Each mind matters"!! For me, that is not just a slogan it is what I believe in. Each client is battling their own struggles and often feels overwhelmed and alone. Therefore, it is essential to evaluate and provide individualized treatment plans to each client. I have been working within the human services field for about 13 years and have served clients of all ages as well as couples and families. The goal is to work together to help improve the client's overall quality of life and to develop or to restore a positive outlook on life.
I am a Registered Clinical Mental Health Counselor Intern with the State of Florida. I am under the supervision of Patsy Evans, LMHC. I have earned a Master in Science Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University. I also have a Graduate Certificate in Children's Mental Health and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology with a minor in Criminology, both from the University of South Florida. I am certified in Functional Assessment Rating Scales (FARS) as well as Children's Functional Assessment Rating Scales (CFARS). I am also a member of the American Counseling Association as well as the American Psychological Association. You can also find me at Psychology Today.
